Sonny ChabraChairman & Chief Executive Officer
Sonny Chabra began his career as a mechanical engineer in India and the Middle East. After emigrating to the United States, in 1992, Sonny purchased American Mini Computer, Inc. where revenue increased by more than 6,000% during the life of the company, achieving 34 consecutive profitable quarters. In July 2005, Sonny started ASI System Integration, Inc., which has enjoyed profitable quarters since inception.
Sonny is the recipient of numerous distinctions for his corporate leadership, including Ernst & Young's "Entrepreneur of the Year Award"; the “Blue Chip Enterprise Executive of the Year” award from the United States Chamber of Commerce; VARBusiness Magazine "Lifetime Achievement Award"; and the “50 Fastest-Growing Asian American Businesses” award presented at the White House by Honorable former United States Secretary of Commerce, Carlos Gutierrez.
Sonny's business, personal and entrepreneurial contributions to the South Asian/Indian-American communities have also been recognized with distinguished honors. Along with the former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, Sonny received the coveted “Ellis Island Medal of Honor” presented by the National Ethnic Coalition Organization (NECO) and the US Congress. Among other honors, he received the “Pride of India Gold Award” from former Prime Minister of India, Honorable H.D. Deva Gowda; the “Jewel of India Award” from former Prime Minister of India, Honorable I.K. Gujral; and the “Punjabi Ratan Award” from the Honorable Secretary of State of the United States, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Chris Mammano attended the University of Pennsylvania majoring in Economics (minor in marketing – Wharton School of Business).
Chris’s leadership is Key to the overall growth of ASI, both in setting strategic business goals and paving the path to achieve them. He is well-respected in the IT industry. His direction and dedication to ASI is evidenced by his interactions with ASI Executive Management, Clients and our Partners. Chris has over 27 years of experience in IT sales and management. He has previously held positions covering the entire IT Sales Spectrum – including Account Executive, Managing Consultant, Sales Director, and Vice President of Sales. Chris has negotiated deals and helped to build a $175,000,000 business spanning technology, services, and consulting sales.
Prior to his current position, Chris held positions as Account Executive and Sales Manager at The Future Now; Vice President of Sales at US Computer Group; General Manager and Sales Manager for CompuCom; and Vice President of Sales at AMC Computer Corporation. He has also received the Impact General “Manager of the Year” award.
Narinder ChabraChief Operating Officer
Narinder Chabra received his Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering in India and a Master of Engineering Degree from Concordia University - Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Narinder has nearly 28 years of experience working with multinational engineering firms at various project sites. He has managed numerous large-scale, enterprise level projects responsible for implementations of new technologies, purchasing and order processing and managed inventory processes. Narinder held management positions in India, Iraq, Kuwait, and Canada. Prior to positions in the system integration sector, Narinder was the Operations Director for Frontnac Industries in Montreal, Canada.
In July 2005, Narinder co-founded ASI System Integration, Inc. with his brother, Sonny Chabra. Narinder oversees procurement, warehouse operations, order processing, logistics, budgeting and infrastructure.
Mark D. RomanowskiExecutive Vice President
Mark Romanowski received a Bachelor Degree in Communications from Brooklyn College. In addition he has completed countless management, services, sales, operations, and marketing programs throughout his career.
Mark held a number of senior executive IT positions including Director, Vice President, and Senior Vice President. A 36-year IT Executive, Mark is currently the Executive Vice President for ASI System Integration, Inc. Mark is well recognized throughout the industry for his breadth of knowledge, encompassing extensive expertise in Business Development, Sales, Services Operations, and Executive Management. Mark authored the industry's one and only comprehensive services book titled, "Services Guide". Its wide acceptance and market demand has prompted him to further expand the offering to include strategic consulting to the including business development, services best practices, delivery, and IT operations.
Mark is a frequent guest speaker and consultant to the leading information technology companies and industry research firms. An active participant in numerous industry groups, Mark was the Executive Board Member and Treasurer for CompTIA, a leading Global IT trade association with influence in all areas of the IT industry worldwide. He is a member of the American Management Association (AMA), Field Service Managers International (AFSMI), and of the major Manufacturer’s Services and Sales Executive Councils. He is currently the acting President of the HP Americas Services Executive Council.
Angel L. Piñeiro, Jr.Senior Vice President, Services
Angel Pineiro received his Bachelor Degree in Theology from the United Bible College and Seminary.
Angel is an IT Industry Executive with over 30 years experience, widely known as an industry expert with superior skills in solving complex service and business problems. He has worked predominantly in managed services and IT outsourcing within the technology reseller channel. He has served in several capacities throughout his career for regional and national corporations including Service Manager, Productivity Manager, Compliance Officer, Director of Technical Services and Vice President of Managed Services. Angel manages ASI's Services Organization, encompassing over five hundred technical professionals. His training and exhaustive list of certifications including ITIL v.3 combined with his 3 decades of real world experience in workflow, business processes and methodologies has earned him the respect from his peers. For Angel, Total Quality Management isn't a goal, it is a way of life.
A proven leader with a knack for service financials and cost control, Angel is frequently invited as a speaker and panelist for several IT Speaker Forums throughout North America. He serves on several councils including CompTIA’s Services Executive Council, Xerox Corporation Services Advisory Council, and is the Chairperson of Per Scholas’ Services Advisory Council. Angel has contributed to the enhancement of CompTIA's A+ Certification, both as a subject matter expert and member of the A+ Advisory Council. He also was Co-Chair for CompTIA's Career Path Initiative.
Ravi ThakurChief Financial Officer
Ravi Thakur's academic pursuits include an M.B.A in Finance and Accounting, C.P.A in the State of NJ and a Bachelor Technology Degree in Mechanical Engineering from I.I.T New Delhi, India.
Ravi held several financial leadership roles in the IT industry including Senior Accountant of Cahill, Larkin & Co., MIS Manager/Assistant Controller of A.I. Friedman, L.P. NY, and Chief Financial Officer for AMC Computer Corporation. His years of experience in budgetary planning and action have afforded him a great depth of knowledge and business success. Ravi is the Chief Financial Officer and an active member of the ASI Executive Team.
Ravi has over 24 years working experience in the Finance and Accounting area for large and mid-sized companies in New York City. Ravi’s responsibilities include direct monitoring of accounts payable and receivable, maintenance of financial reporting & internal corporate controls, budget analysis, and tax evaluation. Ravi’s role is essential to the continuous upward financial growth of ASI.
Sonny BindraVice President, General Counsel
Sonny Bindra received his J.D. /M.B.A. in Finance from Hofstra University School of Law and Frank G. Zarb School of Business. Sonny practices law in the States of New York and New Jersey.
Sonny is the Vice President and General Counsel and has 14 years of legal and financial experience. Sonny has been with ASI for 6 years with primary responsibility for contract negotiations, transaction execution, tax compliance and legal matters pertaining to human resources. Prior to ASI, Sonny spent 6 years in real estate, both as a Vice President for Finance, evaluating the financial opportunities of individual investments and as a real estate litigator.
In his personal time, Mr. Bindra is an avid bicyclist, participating as a member of the NY Velocity development racing team, and serving on the Board of Directors of the Century Road Club Association, the oldest and largest road cycling club in the United States.
Kathleen M. RileyDirector, Business Development & Marketing
Kathleen Riley graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers College, with majors in both Spanish and Communications and a minor in Italian. She is an ITSM Certified Professional.
Katie is the Director of Business Development & Marketing at ASI. Her leadership includes management of all strategic manufacturer, distributor, and partner relationships, execution of inbound and outbound marketing initiatives, and formulating business development strategy. Katie works directly with each ASI executive and business unit to ensure partner compliance, opportunities management, RFP preparation, and development of client and partner events.
Katie’s leadership includes management of business development activities and our marketing activities such as branding, web presence, advertising where appropriate, direct marketing, mailing, events, sponsorships, digital marketing campaigns, and a host of other activities all designed to promote ASI, our quality, and market differentiation.
Harry TalujaDirector, Consulting & Integration
Harry Taluja completed his undergraduate work at Touro College with a major in Data Communications and Electrical Engineering at PEC in India.
In his capacity as Consulting & Integration Director, Harry is responsible for all solution architects, implementation engineers, client professional deliverables, as well as all internal IT functions.
Harry is a 20 year hands-on IT and telecommunications executive and is the recipient of some of the highest technical accreditations. Harry held a number of leadership positions working as a solutions architect/designer, an information systems manager, a consultant, senior network engineer, senior system engineer, and technology trainer. Under his leadership, ASI has been awarded some of the largest IT projects.
Joe RomanDirector, Support Services
Joe Roman has a degree in Criminal Justice degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He holds various certifications in Service Marketing, Customer Service and Business Development. He is also certified by all major hardware and software manufactures including Apple, Toshiba, Dell, IBM, Hewlett Packard, and Microsoft.
A 20 year IT services executive, Joe is recognized for his strong record of achievement in the area of IT operations and project portfolio management. Joe is a highly motivated entrepreneur, with extensive experience in service management including project management, operations, call-center creation, logistics, facilities management, and financial analysis. Joe’s ability to effectively mobilize technical and service operations teams to execute a common vision, continuous improvement and IT governance has been recognized by both enterprise clients and industry leaders.
As Director of ASI’s Technology Services business unit, Joe is responsible for the successful leadership and execution for the business unit’s mission statement. He is empowered to motivate and lead ASI’s national service teams to achieve ultimate customer satisfaction, increase technical productivity, efficiency and performance by introducing methodologies and service delivery best practices. He successfully motivates his management teams to execute a common vision of improved quality and organizational effectiveness.
Accomplishments include: nationwide projects, rollouts, developing effective project management teams, remediation of large-scale projects that fail to meet objectives and building successful service delivery organizations based on proven on-boarding and career development best practices.
Miranda MonahanDirector, Asset Disposition Services
Miranda Monahan received her Business degree in Communications from Colorado University and was ranked number one in the state for two years in public speaking.
Miranda pursued a career in sales as a Sales Supervisor for General Aluminum Forging an industry leader in the development of aeronautical parts. She was quickly recruited by an IT Company as a National Account Representative for Firesale.com. and later recruited by Hewlett Packard Company as an enterprise Account Executive where she was a sales leader for four years in her division. Miranda joined ASI in February 2007 as a subject area expert where she has developed many new programs for our clients including a retail take back program.
Miranda is currently the Director of Sales for ASI's Asset Disposition Division business unit. She acts as an environmental sales consultant and leader to customers, assisting them with their end of life Risk Management Programs. Miranda currently sits on the Product Stewardship Adjunct Council and is a member of the Council on the Environment of New York City. Miranda has met and advised with many Federal, State, Local decision-makers to help them with their environmental sustainability programs and initiatives. Miranda is dedicated to developing solutions that drive sustainability, human health, and preserve the environment.
